Smart Communications is offering the Samsung Galaxy Note free at Data Plan 2000. The Galaxy Note is an Android-powered mobile phone (or a tablet with phone functionality) with a giant 5.3-inch 800 x 1280, a dual-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with Mali-400MP graphics, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 2500 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note also comes with a stylus. Apparently, this promo has been quietly running since December 19, 2011 and runs until December 31, 2011. I say quietly, since I only found out about this promo from a thread in TipidCP, a local mobile phone forum and online marketplace.
I confirmed the promo with @SMARTCares on Twitter, and they did confirm the Samsung Galaxy Note is being offered at Data Plan 2000, but did not confirm whether or not the promo is ending on December 31, 2011.
If you have been wanting one of these devices, Data Plan 2000 is a very good option for getting one given that it retails for at least Php31,000 in the market. It would be best to apply for one before the end of the year.
@smartcares twitted me that the promo is still on... cant wait to get hold of the samsung galaxy note. i read reviews that its better than the iPhone4s... what do you guys think?
ReplyDeleteI depends, do you want a medium sized mobile phone or a mini tablet?
ReplyDeleteim new to this unli data plan in smart.
ReplyDeleteif im getting unli data plan 2000
how much will i pay every month?
im planning to get this phone via unli data plan 2000
In addition to data, you get 150 minutes of voice call to all networks, and 200 SMS to all networks. If you exceed the allocation, or make IDD calls or send MMS, you get billed over the Php2000 a month.
ReplyDeleteIf you do not go beyond 150 minutes of talk and 200 SMS a month, you just pay Php2000 a month.
thank you sir..
ReplyDeletehow many days till i get my phone if i inquire

If I remember correctly all you pay in one month advance.
ok thanks sir.
ReplyDeletei wanna get this galaxy note =)
if i pay them hmm. lets say the first payment for the plan.
do they give me the phone immediately? thanks for the reply
It depends on whether you are approved immediately. Normally if you agree to auto debit your monthly payments from your credit card approval is within an hour. It also depends if they have the unit in the branch you go to.
ReplyDeleteI would recommend Rockwell. Always get great treatment there.
Enjoy your new phone. It's pretty amazing.
thanks..
ReplyDeletewhere can i see rockwell?
Smart Office at Powerplant Mall, Rockwell, Makati City.
ReplyDeleteok ty
ReplyDeletei got a question about htc sensation xe..
ReplyDeleteif u get it from smart plan 2000
do u get 16gb of storage for it or not?
The Sensation XE I got (openline) from a HTC distro only came with 8GB. I think the Smart units are the same.
ReplyDeleteaw.. ty for the info..
ReplyDeleteits better to get phones with 16gb
like galaxy note
Actually, it is more like this:
ReplyDeleteSensation XE 1.1 GB internal + 8GB Micro SD card = Max 33 GB
Galaxy Note 16GB internal + SD card slot = Max 48 GB
The Note is an amazing piece of hardware if the size is right for you.
yup the size is fine for me. hahaha
ReplyDeleteunlidata 2000 can give u unli internet wherever u go right? is that correct? ty for the answer
You will find some dead spots in buildings, but so far it has worked for me pretty much everywhere.
ReplyDeletety
ReplyDeletei got a question regarding of this plan.
ReplyDeletedo i need to pay for a cash out for getting this cellphone? ty for the reply
Sir, a quick question regarding the unlimited data plan, ive read some reviews or info online that there were a cap or a limit with regards to the internet use, does this still apply at this point of time? One example is downloading a movie online. Thanks sir. Really am hoping to get the answer to this question.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I have never experienced the slowdown, but I am not sure if I ever exceeded the 1.5GB. I use my data plan for my phone only. I do not use it as a modem for my laptop.
ReplyDeleteIf the phone is free at a plan, normally you just pay one month service fee in advance.
ReplyDeletehmm i mean this cellphone sir?
ReplyDeletethis galaxy note is it free at plaN?
Yes,the Galaxy Note is free at Data Plan 2000.
ReplyDeleteSo its still not sure if it has a limit for downloading such huge files.
ReplyDeleteBest ask again, but when I applied for the plan one year ago it was clear enough to me that after 1.5GB they could slow down my speed.
ReplyDeleteTried applying for Smart data plan 2000 for Galaxy Note. But they require me to have 50,000 credit limit on my credit card to avail this plan. I only got 25k credit limit. So much for the long hours of waiting just to hear them say this to me. Just disappointing! At least they should post in their website the requirements they need for this plan.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about that. Yes, it would be better if the requirements were spelled out right away so that no one would have to wait hours to be denied.
ReplyDeleteI have a question regarding the plan. What if you plan to go somewhere and won't be able to finish the 24 months contract? What happens next? Do you pay the remaining months left of your contract or you need to pay the whole amount of the phone? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBest double check (it has been years since I have been on postpaid), but if I remember correctly you pay for the cost of the device for the first 12 months and 50% thereafter.
DeleteSir.. i have question for this plan samsung galaxy note ,What is requirement need for this plan.
ReplyDeleteBest inquire at a Smart Wireless Center.
