Google launches Google Play with discounted apps to celebrate the occasion

Google has launched its new Google Play service. Google Play, which will replace the Android Market, combines the Android Market with its Google book, music and movie portals. This means that you can buy apps, books, music and rent movies all from a single unified portal.

In celebration of the launch of Google Play, there is another promotion at the Android Market, with 25 apps being offered for just Php20.91. These include popular gaming titles like Electronic Arts Dead Space and Gameloft Nova 2. On the productivity apps you have Swiftkey X and SoundHound.

Users can expect a new "Android Market" app for their phones, and discounted apps for the next seven days. This link will take you to the apps currently being offered at a discount.

While I am not much of a gamer, and am still finishing Angry Bird (the original) at 85% off Dead Space was too good to resist.
