Acer Aspire V5-122P-61454G50nbb - 11.6-inch Touchscreen Laptop


Acer has released a touchscreen version of its 11.6-inch V5 in laptop in the Philippines. The laptop comes with a 11.6-inch HD (768 x 1366) display, a quad core AMD A6-1450 processor, 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. Acer promises 5 hours of battery life from the supplied 3-cell battery pack, For an operating system you get Windows 8. This laptop has all the usual trimmings, including USB 3.0, HDMI out and a card reader. Like most 11-inch laptops, it does not come with an optical drive.

Surprisingly, this only the second 11-inch touchscreen laptop released in the country, the other being the Asus Vivibook X202E. Priced at Php24,900 the Acer Aspire V5-122P is priced correctly being more powerful than the entry level Intel Celeron model of the Asus Vivobook X202E, and substantially cheaper than the more powerful Intel Core i3 version of the Asus Vivobook X202E. Weighing at a bit over 3 pounds, the Acer Aspire V5 also feels a bit lighter. Like most new laptops the Acer Aspire V5 is thing, being just 0.83-inches thick at the thickest point.
