Samsung Galaxy Tab vs. Apple iPad review at Yugatech

Yugatech has posted a comparison between the top two tablets, the Apple iPad and the Samsung Tablet. I was about surprised to find out that "until today, the iPad is not officially released in the Philippines so there’s no local warranty to speak of when your device conks out. You’ll either send it back to GreenHills for repair or ship it to Apple Singapore for warranty claims."

Going back to Apple iPad versus Samsung Galaxy Tab comparisons, Techradar also has a review of these two tablets, and declares the tablet as the winner:
While the iPad is still the most desirable tablet computer available, the Galaxy Tab will provide some stiff competition. Especially if it's sold at a sub-£300 price point.
Samsung's device can't match the iPad for screen loveliness or battery life. But it steps up the technology battle by including a built-in camera and expandable memory.
With Android rapidly improving and Samsung currently producing some of the best mobile hardware on the planet, the prospects for the Galaxy Tab look bright. As ever, seeing the new device, holding it, surfing the web and watching videos on it will be key.
Winner: Samsung Galaxy Tab
Ooh. Now that's controversial...

CNET has a video Samsung Galaxy Tab vs. Apple iPad 3G prizefight video review:

The iPad wins the CNET review.

I myself prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The 7-inch size is a something we found handier in our own little hands-on of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.  I do not think a head-to-head comparison is possible. The two are so different in size with the Samsung Galaxy Tab being half the size of the Apple iPad. The Apple iPad measure in at 9.56 x 7.47 x 0.5 inches and weighs in at 1.5 to 1.6 pounds. The Samsung Galaxy Tab measures in at 7.48 x 4.74 x 0.47 inches and 0.8 pounds.

If you want a bigger 9.7-inch screen, the Apple iPad is your choice. If you want something smaller, than the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
