Easy Guide to Identifying Globe, Smart and Sun numbers

Image Source: The Most Important Question. A link you should take a look at.

With so many prefixes these days, it is getting pretty hard to remember what prefixes belong to  what network. Given unlimited in-network packages calls and bulk minute bundles for a low cost (like Smart TRINET bundles), you should know what network you are calling to keep your bills down. Here are three simple memory aids that will make is easier.

1. All prefixes ending in 5, 6 or 7 are Globe EXCEPT 0907 and 0947 (Smart).

Globe: 0905, 0906, 0915, 0916, 0917, 0925, 0926, 0927, 0935, 0936, 0937, 0996 and 0997

2. All prefixes ending in 2 or 3 are Sun, EXCEPT 0912 and 0813 (Smart).

Sun: 0922, 0923, 0932, 0933, 0942 and 0943

3. Everything else is Smart.

Smart: 0813, 0907, 0908, 0909, 0910, 0912, 0918, 0919, 0920, 0921, 0928, 0929, 0930, 0938, 0939, 0946, 0947, 0948, 0949, 0989 and 0999

  1. I beg to disagree with the assumption of the writer because my number 09258695218 is sun issued number and not globe.

  3. Sorry gents, look like I got an outdated list. Am out of town now, so will fix it tomorrow.

0942 is not a problem, but 0925 makes it harder to come up with an easier to remember rule.

  4. Added new prefixes. But 0925 is recorded as being assigned to Globe.

  5. My 0925 number is a post paid from Sun. How can Sun use a prefix number from competing network.I have been using this number for two months now sending text messages and calls.I have not encounter any problem and its going on smoothly. Is there a mixed up of assigned prefix numbers from NTC? I guess this needs clarification.

    1. Will try to clarify it. I remember awhile back reading about some unused spectrum assigned to Globe.Maybe it was sold or re-assigned to Sun.

  6. Hmmm.. Is 0925 for Sun Cellular postpaid only? Because when I applied just recently the rep asked me to choose 6-digits, prefix is 0925-8. After ilang balik dahil unavailable lahat she offered me 0925-7. Sana limited din for postpaid prefix nila like Globe na 0917-8 lang para di confusing.
