Seven months ago a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 smartphone with a 720p display was a top of the line handset. Today, you can get one for just Php14,999, the ZTE Grand Era U895.
The ZTE Grand Era U895 has a 4.5-inch 720p (720 x 1280) display, a 1.5 GHz quad core processor on a Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset with ULP GeForce Graphics and 1 GB of RAM. Keeping all this running is a 1800 mAh battery. The ZTE Grand Era U895 also pack a 8 MP primary camera which can record 1080p video, a 1.3 MP front camera. ZTE kept the cost down by equipping the phone with only 4 GB of internal storage, so this is not much of an issue.
The the ZTE Grand Era U895 is also just 8.6 mm thin at its thickest part. Thats just as thick as a Samsung Galaxy S III. But in hand, the phone is actually thinner, being just 7.9 mm around the part where you hold the phone. The phone is also all of just 110 grams in weight. Another nice touch is that the ZTE Grand Era U895 has Nexus style on screen buttons.
The only downer is the phone runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, rather than Jelly Bean, but nothing is perfect. If you look at all its competition at its price point, I think you will agree that this one blows a all of them out of the water.
