Philippine online mobile phone usage

We have been tracking online use of mobile phones for sometime to get an idea of the market penetration of different mobile operating systems using StatCounters services. The figures do not represent the number of phones sold, but the number of web pages accessed by the different mobile operating systems.

Nokia is on the decline:

  • June 2010 - 64.33%
  • June 2011 - 55.30%

iPhone/iPad/iPod use continues to grow:

  • June 2010 - 12.86%
  • June 2011 - 16.02%

BlackBerry is healthy in the Philippines:

  • June 2010 - 0.86%
  • June 2011 - 2.02%

Android is on a rampage:

  • June 2010 - 0.40%
  • June 2011 - 9.61%

At the rate things are going it looks like Android will take the second spot from Apple's iOS by the end of the year.
